Rating...Good.
We stopped here for Dinner on Dec 14, 2005 at 3:45 PM, EST. Finding an available table was no problem. Denise, our server was there right away, with our menus. We ordered our drinks, I asked for coffee and Leah ordered Hot Tea. Denise was back with our drinks right away, and took our orders. We both ordered the Old Fashioned, hand formed, Hamburgers, with Fries and a small bowl of Chili. (Really stuck to the low fat diet that day.) Denise was back with our order in about five to ten minutes. The burgers were tasty, but the buns were very delicate and fell apart as we ate. The chili was not that good, but the fries were good. Our bill for the two of us was $16.07. The service was fast and friendly; we will go back again, for sure.

We stopped here for lunch on January 24, 2006 at 12:30 PM, MST. We weren’t planning to eat here when we stopped, but it being lunch time, we decided to give it a try. We should have stuck to our original plan and made sandwiches on the truck.
The first thing we noticed was how dirty the place was. Salad fixings on the floor around the salad bar, and the rest of the floor didn't look much better. Water marks and hand prints all over the chrome wall covering above the salad bar, obviously not wiped down in quite some time.
Our server, Cindy was at our table right away to give us our menus and take our orders. Leah ordered the Philly cheese steak with French fries and hot tea. I ordered the sliced BBQ beef sandwich, fries and coffee. Cindy was soon back again to inform me that there was no sliced BBQ, the cook had chopped it all up for the special of the day. Special? Cindy didn't tell us about their specials. Anyway, I said, ok, I'll have the chopped BBQ sandwich, she still didn’t bother telling us about the special.
The food arrived soon after we ordered it. My sandwich had a very soggy bun, it’s a good thing that it didn't have to sit long before it was delivered to our table. Leah said her food was OK, but, she wasn't happy with the idea that the hot water for her tea came in a 20 oz. Styrofoam cup. Guess they can't afford tea pots.
The bill was reasonable for two sandwich plates, $14.69.

Longview, National Truck Stop, I20, Exit 599.
Rating...OK. But dont go out of your way to stop.
We stopped here for breakfast on January 27, 2006 at 6:30 AM MST.
Leah and I both ordered the Ham and Eggs, Leah ordered hers over medium and I got mine scrambled. Both our orders came with hash brown potatoes and cold toast. I guess the cold toast was due to the fact that we had to wait forever for our server to bring our order. Despite the fact that the toast was cold, my breakfast was OK. Leah complained that her eggs were "rubbery", guess they cooked them to long.
The decor of the restaurant is what could be described as Barnyard Shed. The walls are covered with tin roofing material. Had a cow or a pig wandered past while we dined would not have surprised us. The restaurant was clean; they were in the process of sweeping while we were there.
