While this truck stop has a lot going for it, in my opinion, the restaurant is certainly not one of them. We stopped in here for dinner Jan. 14, 2006 at 6:00 pm. We found a table right away, the dinning area is huge.
Our server, Miranda, brought our menus and took our drink orders soon after we were seated. We both ordered the Turkey dinner, with mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans and a side salad, for $2.50 more we could have gone to the salad bar and prepared our own salad. As it was, we had to remind Miranda to bring our salads when she showed up with our entrees.
Our Turkey dinners arrived to our table with the bowl of green beans half buried in the instant mashed potatoes, and as I said previously, before our salads. The stuffing, tucked under the turkey was cold, not warm, but actually cold. But hey, the coffee was hot.
The bill for all this? $18.94, a bit lower than you pay for a dinner in a lot of other truck stops. I guess you get what you pay for.
