Sacramento, 49'er Travel Plaza, I80 Exit 85, El Camino

Rating...Good. ( I would have given them 3 stars, but, the parking fee had to be considered.)

We stopped here for breakfast on Jan 9, 2006 at 8:30 am, MST. Leah ordered Ham and Eggs, with coffee. I ordered Minced Ham and eggs, with coffee. Both orders included hash browns and toast.

Our order arrived within 5 minutes, very fast service here, definitely a credit to the staff. The coffee never had a chance to cool, our server, Judy, always keeping it full. Our bill seemed on the high side for breakfast, $17.55. Add that to the $12.00 to park for more than 4 hours, and the cost is high indeed!

The restaurant was clean, except for a piece of silverware protruding from one of the artificial plants.

We stopped here for Dinner, at 4:15 MST. While Truck Town is not the prettiest truck stop you'll ever roll into, it’s conveniently located right around the corner from Swifts terminal, that’s the reason we patronize it, and you can get a decent meal here, providing you catch them on a good day. Today was not one of those days.

Karen, our server brought our menus and took our orders, she was really hard to understand. She spook in a very low, mumbling voice. Leah ordered the Fried Perch with French fries, green beans, a bowl of potato soup, and hot tea (it came, not with a tea spoon, but a soup spoon). I ordered the daily special, spaghetti; it also came with a bowl of potato soup. I also had coffee. Our entrees came before our soup; we had to ask for the soup. Leah was happy with her two large pieces of fish, I, on the other hand considered asking for seconds on the spaghetti, it was a very small portion. Karen walked by our table with a full pot of coffee, and left my cup standing empty. Resulting in an instant reduction in tip.

Our overall dinning experience was not a pleasant one at all. There were three waitress’s working 12 tables and they could not keep my coffee cup full. The restaurant was filthy, especially around the waitress's prep area. We don’t think we'll give them another try after this visit.

Corning, TA. I5 Exit 630

Rating...Ok

We stopped here for Breakfast, Feb. 8, 2006 at 5:00 AM, MST. Finding a table at this hour was no problem at all, we we're the only customers in the restaurant. Dawn, our server was at our table before we sat ourselves.

Both Leah and I ordered the Ham and Eggs, Leah asked for hers over easy, I ordered mine scrambled. Our meal arrived at our table right away, too fast, the potatoes were undercooked. The rest of our dinning experience was OK. Dawn never let the coffee cup go empty.

Breakfast here is a on the expensive side, $18.94.
